Climate change is happening now and it is undeniable. Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities, and most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position. The evidence of Rapid Climate Change is compelling- Global Temperature Rise, warming oceans, shrinking ice sheets, glacial retreat, decreased snow cover, sea level rise, declining artic sea ice, extreme events such as droughts, hurricanes, floods, ocean acidification, intense rainfall etc. In the face of this reality and rising concerns gripping India such as excessive rainfall, draughts, floods, worsening air quality, melting Himalayan ice caps, Global Shapers Community Bangalore gives out a call to re-imagine the future of Climate-The Call For Earth. Through this project, we aim to educate, influence and encourage individuals, corporates, government and other key stakeholders to take climate action. Furthermore, we lead by example, through our work towards driving policy changes and afforestation activities.

Our goal is to educate 5000 teachers, students and community members with climate literacy and send out 5000 'Future of Climate' letters from students and young people to politicians and key decision makers. Our primary goal this year is also to create a tiny forest with Afforesst(a dense, native forest in the midst of Bangalore city with 600 tress in 200 sq. Mtrs)
