Half Glass Full

Today only 2.5 percent of the planet’s water supply flows cleanly. There is more fresh water available but it’s either been polluted by human activity or is trapped in glacial form (though not for long with the increasing effects of climate change.)

According to a recent report by World Bank, Nagpur has been classified as a Climate Hotspot. We already experience temperatures as high as 48 C. In such conditions preservation and judicious use of available portable water becomes necessary. In this endeavor, Half Glass Full project aims to sensitize citizens to how small initiatives for preservation by individuals can have a large collective impact.

Various popular city-based restaurants would be approached to be a part of the initiative. After the restaurant has agreed to be a part of the initiative, the servers would be instructed to serve the patrons-only half glasses of water, in case the patron objects the servers would also be trained to manage the situation in a positive and non-confrontational manner.
