In line with the Diversity and Inclusion / Future of Education workstream vision to meet the community's #Vision2020, Stronger Schools is a movement started by Global Shapers Bangalore Hub to bring value-added services to students in low-income schools. In collaboration with Kalisu Foundation, supported by the Maharaja of Mysore, Global Shapers Bangalore Hub have helped set up an upgraded library to provide an opportunity for kids to learn at St. Joseph’s Convent, Bangalore. This program will soon be scaled to other schools that are part of the Stronger Schools network. Stronger Schools has also set up community centres under Project Kanasu, for women from disadvantaged communities to learn vocational skills such as tailoring, basket weaving, and help generate an additional source of revenue.
