On the 3rd of October 2015, a series of explosions allegedly by extremists struck two locations in Nyanya, and in Kuje, both in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. The blasts, which security officials say was coordinated, left at least 20 dead, with almost double the number in hospital with varying degrees of injuries.

The Global Shapers Community – Abuja Hub commiserates with Nigerians, especially those affected by this vicious attack, keeping them in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

The Hub, a firm believer in citizen-action is therefore organizing a donation drive for the families affected to cushion their suffering. This drive will accept items such as laundered used clothing, food items, toiletries, and care.

Items can be dropped off at our stationed trucks located at MOPOL Junction Football Field, beside Sani Brothers Filling Station, Nyanya, and, opposite Peniel Apartments, the junction of Ademola Adetokunbo and Thaba Tseka, Wuse 2, Abuja everyday from Tuesday the 6th to Friday the 9th between the hours of 9am and 6pm daily.
