In recent years Ukraine has experienced painful but necessary to convert time by building a path to recovery and growth.
Revolution in turn, dramatically changed the minds and values of Ukrainian redirecting their human potential for the development of common interests, both economic and social.
As part of the events organized with the support of WEF Global Shapers Kyiv Hub and UVCA, this year it was conducted Ukraine Discovery Tour 3.0. Members of the World Economic Forum Initiatives - Global Shapers Community and Young Global Leaders once again visited and got inspired by the new Ukraine, constantly evolving. The purpose of the tour was to spread messages for various possibilities and obstacles in Ukraine, as well as a stable connection between representatives of the WEF initiatives Global Shapers and Young Global Leaders from around the world with the Ukrainian representatives.
Within 4 day tour, participants managed to visit and meet with leading companies in IT, Innovation and Technological Development (Unit City., Ciklum, 1991 Open Data Incubator) Agro tech business (Borsh Ventures Agro), exceptional and one of the biggest in eastern Europe coworking spaces (Lightfield studio and Chasopys), organizations ensuring sustainable development of Ukraine in various fields (greencubator, WNISEF, platfor.ma, creative mornings Kyiv, PGA, Urban space 500, Run for Peace) venture capitalists (UVCA and HP Ventures), companies with global values that help UA businesses become stronger (GoodWine) as well as got personally acquainted with the opinion makers and leaders from Ukraine, this is our YGL Hanna Hopko and Mustafa Nayyem.
In addition to working points UDT participants were able to get more about the history and culture of Ukraine; enjoy the taste of Ukrainian cuisine in Chicken Kyiv, Ostannya Barikada, Bessarabia, visit cultural sights, as well as visit the largest airplane in the world "Antonov 225 Mriya". Besides, amazing time of the tour this year allowed participants to cheer for their singers and bands in the international Eurovision Song Contest, held in Kyiv.
