I am Tibetan and American and I was raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University in International Studies and I am currently pursuing a Master of Education degree from Endicott College. Recently, I completed a contract with UNHCR in Kathmandu where I worked directly with Tibetan and Urban refugee populations.
Outside of my professional work, I am involved in several local initiatives. I am a Co-Founder of The WE United Project, a women's empowerment project in Nepal that creates safe spaces to impart leadership training, life skills development, and team building through dynamic sport-based activities. I also served as the Project Coordinator for Friends of Nepal, a volunteer collective and local partner of #WeHelpNepal, a network supporting locally-led, peer-to-peer Nepal Earthquake relief efforts.
