The Global Shapers Community is a network of Hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a contribution to their communities.
Caili obtained her Masters in Environment,
Society and Development from the University of
Cambridge in 2010. She joined the eThekwini
Municipality (Durban) in 2011 where she worked
within a number of key local economic
development areas including job creation and
monitoring, the green economy, and investment.
Her work on employment at the local level led to
her engagement with the unemployment crisis
facing young people more specifically. She now
works for Oxfam Australia based in Durban as
the Country Coordinator for Learning, Sharing
and Reporting. She is passionate about change in
South Africa and believes partnerships, education
and innovation are cornerstones to improving the
quality of life of all South Africans.
