Emi-Beth Quantson

Kawa Moka Coffee Company
About me:

Emi-Beth is the Founder of Kawa Moka, a social enterprise coffee shop and creative space located in Accra, Ghana, West Africa, that aspires to raise the bar in the provision of coffee in West Africa, introducing consumers to specialty blends from across the continent, providing excellent customer service and creating a chain of shops across West Africa infused with African art and bursting with African culture while empowering economically disadvantaged women through training and employment.

Kawa Moka purposely hires women from three main target groups: abused women, women going through the legal aid system who are usually either facing some sort of domestic strife or are single mothers needing financial support and Senior High School leavers from poor backgrounds.

Prior to starting Kawa Moka, Emi-Beth worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Ghana and Kenya as an auditor and tax consultant and also consulted with then startups the African Leadership Network, Impact Business Leaders and the Cobalt Partners. Emi-Beth graduated with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration (Cum Laude) from Ashesi University and is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK.
