Rahim Nicolay Ali

Political Advisor
The Norwegian Parliament
About me:

Rahim is a multi-award winning entrepreneur with a deep passion for using new technology to solve some of the world’s most pressing social problems.\\Previously, Ali co-founded Deedly, an online charity thrift store, which was awarded The Best Student Project of the Year by Microsoft in 2013. Later that year Deedly got the opportunity to meet Bill Gates. After the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, he also co-founded the only text donation system in Norway. The groundbreaking initiative got extensive national media coverage and was recognized by the Minister of International Development, who invited Ali and his co-founder to discuss how we could scale the solution. A scaled version was later launched together with the Minister of International Development and the Secretary General of Red Cross, and text donations have to this date successfully raised close to 15 million dollars to humanitarian causes.
